Ingredients
3T butter
3T GF flour
1/2t cornstarch
3 cups milk, preheated
3/4t salt
1 box GF macaroni
3 cups shredded cheddar
3/4 cup GF panko, browned in butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 350'.
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Whisk in flour and cornstarch until smooth, about 3 minutes. Gradually whisk in hot milk until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Turn to lowest heat and cook until thick and smooth, about 10 minutes. Stir in salt.
Meanwhile, boil pasta and brown panko. Drain water, add bechamel and shredded cheddar, and stir well. Transfer to buttered Dutch oven and top with breadcrumbs. Bake for 30-45 minutes.
